Taken from an interview at Cannes in 2008, this is a really nice little bit of footage covering Amblin’. One of the things I’m noticing as I build this blog is Spielberg’s constant desire to compliment the interviewer. In the Inside The Actor’s Studio episode from 1999, he says that he hadn’t noticed a significant point about Close Encounters of the Third Kind until James Lipton pointed it out, and here he is again, praising the interviewer for his Indiana Jones remark.
